If you’re not familiar with this series, just know that the only thing writers love more than writing is avoiding writing. And I am definitely no exception. Today, I’ll list five things that distracted me from my writing this week.

Introducing: Arthur!
I’m so excited to formally introduce Arthur to the blog. He’s exactly 4 months old today and growing so fast. He’s a music-loving, cuddle bug who always wants to move. I have a feeling he’s going to by my reason not to write most of the time going forward.
NaNoWriMo
NaNoWriMo started on Sunday this week. As I'm adjusting to life with Baby Arthur and trying to manage parental/covid/general anxiety, I've given myself permission to skip #NaNoWriMo for the first time in 6 years. But I still wish you all lots of luck and if you need any tips or tricks, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter!
Happy Halloween
A belated Happy Halloween to you all! I hope you had a fun and safe holiday. COVID made it a bit of bummer, but our family still dressed up and went to visit Arthur’s grandparents. It was a laid by night but still a lovely time.
Time Change
I hope you all enjoyed getting a little bit of extra sleep this week. The time change is always a tough adjustment for me, as I like routines and stability. It was an extra challenge this week as we tried to get Arthur adjusted to the change too.
Zumbini
This dancing and singing class designed for babies is our new obsession around the house. Arthur absolutely loves music so being able to take a virtual dance class has been a lot of fun for all of us. We tried out a couple of virtual classes this weekend and are looking forward to doing more soon.
