Welcome to the Why I’m Not Writing This Week series!

If you’re not familiar with this series, just know that the only thing writers love more than writing is avoiding writing. And I am definitely no exception. Today, I’ll list five things that distracted me from my writing this week.

I encourage you to share with me your reasons for not writing every week too and I’ll share my favorites in the latest edition.

Visiting With The Grandparents!

I’m so grateful that my parents were able to come visit and spend a day with Arthur this week. I think everyone had fun and it was great to connect after not seeing them in many months. Love you Mom and Dad!

Revising & Querying

This week, I had a meeting with friend, frequent guest blogger and book coach, Margaret McNellis to talk about my current WIP. It was so helpful to hear her feedback and get excited about entering the Querying Trenches this Summer. More news soon, I hope!

Allergy Attacks

With some of the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately, unfortunately, comes my biannual allergy fit. Something about these extreme temperature changes turns me into a gross, congested mess. And, this year, we’ve learned that Arthur suffers the same problems. Together we’ve been sitting by the humidifier and trying to keep our noses dry.

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

I’ve been really into Farming Simulation and other Role-playing video games lately. And the game I’m looking forward to the most is Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. Unfortunately, the game isn’t out yet so I’m having to keep myself patient by watching others with early access play the game on Youtube and Twitch.

Vaccinations

Here in North Carolina, more vaccine eligibility is opening up. My husband is already eligible due to his job and I’m optimistic that I’ll be able to get my shot in the upcoming weeks soon. We’re so excited and eager to do our part to protect our son and others in our community.
