Thanks so much for visiting my website and stopping by to learn a little more about me. I’m a 28 year old writer living in rural North Carolina with my husband, my 1 year old son, two orange tabby cats, and our senior German Shepherd. We spend most of our free time binge-watching TV shows, playing video games, and wandering around our local Barnes & Noble to add more books to our to-be-read pile.
In my not-so-free time, I manage social media for a local property management company and work on my own writing projects. I first became interested in writing when I was in 3rd grade and read Where The Red Fern Grows with my dad. My dad started crying at the end of the book and I was fascinated with the idea that stories could be powerful enough to move someone to tears. Soon after that, I wrote my own short story, though it was unfortunately lost when my teacher took it home to show her husband. I was introduced to Tamora Pierce’s Lioness Rampant series at a young age and have been obsessed with Fantasy writing ever since. I have an undergraduate degree in Creative Writing from Salem College and an MFA in Fiction from the Mountainview MFA Program.
More recently, I’ve worked through my freelance business with many writers to develop and polish their projects in a variety of genres such as Fabulism, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Thriller. I’ve also done content writing for local and international brands, including cookie companies, financial advisors, health and wellness brands, and more. While I love my freelance work, I am currently only focusing on my own personal projects, including a number of Fantasy works-in-progress, my blog, and my family.
There is a bit more fun trivia and credentials about me below, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out via my contact page.
