Why I'm Not Writing This Week 12/15
Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing better than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.

1. SNOW!!!!!
The winter storm hit us pretty hard here and we got 5 inches of snow (which is a huge deal down here). It's also the first in a while we've had snow so early in the season. I do not love the cold or snow as a rule, but it was actually very beautiful. Plus, Pluto absolutely loved it.
2. Christmas Is Here
Because of some family illnesses, we weren't able to set up our decorations quite as early as everyone else. This week, though, we were able to at least get our tree set up AND the wreath my mom sends me every year came in. That means things are getting serious. Less than two weeks to go!
3. The Crown
I've never been much of an anglophile or very interested in the monarchy, but I'd heard a lot f good things about this show's writing and cinematography. Now, of course, I'm hooked. The camera work is beautiful, the dialogue is excellent and I'm also learning a lot. It's definitely worth checking out.
