Why I'm Not Writing This Week 6/21
Welcome to "Why I'm Not Writing." We all know that the only thing writers like doing more than writing is avoiding writing. So every Friday I list five things that have distracted me from my writing that week.

Savvyauthors Pitchfest
I got to participate in the Savvyauthor’s Pitchfest competition. I received some good feedback and leads from their Pitchfest in February so I’m excited to see if I get any bites this month. Mouse in the House
Unfortunately, we found remnants of a mouse in our kitchen this week. So my husband and I have spent most of our evenings patching in potential holes where they could have gotten in. And we have to clean anything that they could have scurried over. It’s been a pretty crazy week to say the least.
Rain, Rain Rain
With the warm summer weather, we’ve also gotten a crazy amount of rain this week. Our area has been on flash flood warning for a couple nights, and then severe thunderstorm warnings for the remaining nights. It’s been a humid, leaky mess. I’m pretty shocked we haven’t lost power yet, to be honest.
Aggresuko Season 2
Season 2 of this hilariously relatable anime came out on Netflix this week. The characters are cute, the conflicts are (sometimes painfully) recognizable, and the twist of the main character’s obsession with death metal karaoke, is absolutely perfect! The second season did not disappoint at all.
Out to the Ballgame
We got some free tickets to our local baseball game last night. We enjoyed $1 beers, hotdogs and lots of snacks. We haven’t been to a game all season and it was so nice to enjoy a night out together at the game with friends.
